A Common of Pasture

  • The right to feed beasts that manure the ground or are of the plough. This right can extend to beasts such as hogs, goats, sheep and the like which do not plough or manure the ground but his is not a general right and can only be claimed on terms.

  • Every Commoner can graze his own cattle

​

  • If a Commoner inclofes or builds on the Common, every Commoner may have an action for damage.

​

  • A Commoner may not dig trenches etc on the Common without custom.

​

  • Infected animals are not to be put on the Common.

​

  • Commoners are entitled to collect tillage and wood.

​

  • Pits for gravel and coal are not to be dug.
