Flora & Fauna
The Trust manages the land within the terms of the Grant. The Trust engages in ongoing research on land management techniques and weed control which it then utilises in formulating work plans for each Working Bee and overall strategy in terms of each year end goals.
Each year presents different challenges dependent on the climate impact on weed growth and pasture development and health. 2019/2020 saw the huge impact of bushfire followed by flood and the effects of La Niña in the 2021/22 summer with enormous floods in March and July. Pasture growth has been phenomenal.
Ongoing work strategies when not dealing with natural disasters can include:

-
Tractor slashing
-
Removal of saplings
-
Clearing fallen trees
-
Thistle eradication
