Putting Cattle on and off the Common

The Common Herdspeople manage cattle being put on and off the Common by Commoners. All cattle movements are conducted in line with the National Livestock Identification System.

Each Commoner is entitled to run a certain number of head of cattle and horses as determined by the Trust in the light of the seasonal conditions. Harsh times of drought, fire or flood will impact on the numbers of stock the Common can carry.

The Herdspeople, Suzi Deryk & Corey Ryan, can be contacted regarding day to day cattle management issues on 02 4568 2087; email on stalbanscommon589@gmail.com.
